Pupil Leadership

Across school pupils are given opportunities to take responsibility in areas that we think are really important. They take their roles very seriously and strive to make a difference in our school.

Student Voice: School & WISE Parliament

Our leadership structure is built on democracy. Pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 have the opportunity to stand for election, delivering speeches to their peers before a formal vote.

  • School Parliament: A dedicated team of pupils from across school who meet regularly to make decisions about school life. Led by our Year 6 Primeministers, they discuss school concerns, organize events, and lead projects to improve school lunches and playground facilities.
  • WISE Parliament: Selected representatives work alongside the wider WISE Academies Pupil Leadership team, collaborating with other schools to drive regional improvements.

Specialist Leaders

Our pupils take ownership of specific areas of school life, helping our departments run smoothly:

  • Sports Leaders: Promoting physical activity, organizing playground games, and championing healthy lifestyles.
  • School Librarians: Managing our reading spaces and helping peers discover their next favorite book.

Anti-Bullying Ambassadors: Trained to promote a culture of kindness and provide a friendly face for anyone in need of support.

Daily Responsibility

Responsibility starts in the classroom and the dining hall. We believe every child should contribute to our school family.

  • Classroom Monitors: Every child takes a turn being responsible for their learning environment, from tidying reading books to managing equipment.
  • Lunch Hall Monitors: Assisting younger children during meal times and ensuring the hall remains a tidy, welcoming space.
