Our Childcare Offers

Breakfast Club

We are delighted to be able to offer breakfast club provision in our school hall. The club opens at 7:45AM and runs until 8:30AM.

It costs £1 per child per session to attend. You can either book placed in advance or turn up on the day. All payments should be made through the Arbor app.

2 Year Old Provision

2 Year Old Funded Places: Funded Childcare

Here at Morpeth Road we offer places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds who are entitled to childcare funding from the Government.

There are a number of different funding options available to parents, further details can be found below.

2 year olds – up to 15 hours childcare for families receiving some additional forms of Government support

This funding is available now and is available if you get any of the following benefits:

Income Support
income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
Universal Credit, and your household income is £15,400 a year or less after tax, not including benefit payments
the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit (or both), and your household income is £16,190 a year or less before tax
the Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
You can also get free childcare if your child: 

  • is looked after by a local authority
  • has an education, health and care (EHC) plan
  • gets Disability Living Allowance
  • has left care under an adoption order, special guardianship order or a child arrangements order
  • If you are eligible for this funding, please contact the school office on 01670351713 and we can verify this for you.

For working families

From April 2024, working families need to meet the following criteria to be eligible for up to 15 hours funding for their 2 year old:

you and any partner, must each expect to earn (on average) at least £167 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage).
if you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you’re unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible.
you can’t get either 15 or 30 hours childcare if you, or your partner, each individually expect to earn £100,000 adjusted net income or more.

3 and 4 year olds – up to 15 hours childcare

For ALL families in England

At Morpeth Road, 15 hours of free childcare is available to all children from the age of 3.

Nursery 30 Hours Childcare Offer

3 and 4 year olds – up to 30 hours childcare

For working families

Working families need to meet the following criteria to be eligible for up to 30 hours funding for their 3 year old:

  • you and any partner, must each expect to earn (on average) at least £167 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage).
  • if you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you’re unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible.
  • you can’t get either 15 or 30 hours childcare if you, or your partner, each individually expect to earn £100,000 adjusted net income or more.
  • eligible working families can get up to 30 hours childcare. This cannot be used in addition to the 15 hours available for all 3 and 4 year olds.
  • If eligible, the 30 hour funding starts the term after your child turns 3. Term start dates are 1st September, 1st January and 1st April.
